I have a feeling that different manufactures count different things as a fault. My understanding is that if you cant connect Bluetooth to your phone ( even if its the phones fault ) it is still logged as a warranty issue.

Id love to see a more detailed breakdown of faults by each manufacturer so I can filter out basic things like bluetooth.

Also on a side note why do I hear so many negative comments about the colarado and so many positives about the MUX / Dmax. What is Holden doing wrong?

I've got a Holden with no problems. That's from when Holden was an Isuzu in disguise. Unfortunately things have changed for the worse.

Primarily they were forced away from probably the best small diesel on the market.
and unfortunately the one they chose. with it's electronics are European.
Which are known to have multiple reliability problems.
VW and Fiat near top of the list.
They've lost what they had.
Longevity and reliability,  I asked wksp fitters/foremen at a coupla places. They all said the same thing.
There are better. These new ones keep us very busy on returns.

Realistically.
if you have a vehicle and it does no wrong.
Regardless of label on the front.
It's a good car.

I've had Fords for 40 yrs. Never a bad one and I did a lot of miles when working.
Had 2 Holdens )one ex demo)   Both crap.
4 Nissans (3 x 4wd)  all perfect.

1 Toyota.   Never again.

Everybody will have similar story's.

I had an Audi 100 back in early '70's in Sth Africa.
Magic. But they third on the bad list here.

They all do same job. just some do better for longer at less cost.
Just be happy with what you got and be glad you picked an Isuzu.

Trouble with that as far as singling out Holden is what model was the worst. I've been told the Captiva is a bit of a lemon but this is second hand info so without knowing the model it is somewhat useless.
