Happy 1st Birthday Ozisuzu

(1/4) > >>

DannyG:
Approximately 12 months ago I was looking on the internet for information about the new Isuzu range and felt that the platforms available were not very appealing.

I had always wanted to run a forum about something that interests me so I decided to start this Isuzu Forum, 12 months ago today.

When I started it I was skeptical about its growth and even if it would work, but within the first month I knew it was away and would grow enough to stay.

So in our first 12 months we have grown to over 800 real members and the forum is active every day. We have had some growing pains in regards to the server that hosted us but it appears as though those days are behind us. We have two great gents that run the show in Dave and OJ, their work has been relentless.

Some members have had Ozisuzu get togethers already, our first photo comp was well represented and we even have our own Merchandise line. All in the first 12 months.

It was always important to us that the forum is family friendly, not heavily moderated, simple to use and encouraging to new members or new forum users to join in and participate in the conversation.

The forum is nothing without its members. It is the members who have made the forum grow and set it up in its first year as a great resource of the mighty Isuzu range of vehicles. Thanks to each and everyone of you.  :notworthy:

I look forward to seeing what the next 12 months will bring. Oh and I still haven't bought myself an Isuzu!  :laughing7:

Congratulations Danny on an outstanding forum and for reaching this big milestone. Thank you. Thanks also to binaryman and dmaxdave for their continuing diligence and input.  Also, thanks to all the members who share their knowledge and experiences. I don't go a day without checking this place. :)

Cheers
Martin

Thanks firstly to Danny for taking the leap and giving us all a great forum!
Secondly to Binaryman and DmaxDave for the behind the scenes work and the information they bring to the forum. (Cluey buggers!)
Never felt looked down upon when asking even a basic question, this forum is becoming a great resource not only for all things DMax and MU-X, but also a good laugh!
Light hearted and easy to join in on.
To all who contribute, thank you.

Congratulation to OzIsuzu Forums on our First Anniversay!

 :occasion18:   :occasion13:    :occasion15:

From a perspective of a forum team member, it has been a rewarding experience to be part of the continuing growth and evolution of our Forum.

A big thank you and recognition to all forum members who took the effort to write up about their Isuzu projects, tips, tweaks, etc.  Most of these are individual's expert know-how, creativity and resourcefulness.  They gave us ideas on how to make our Isuzus a better vehicle and more "customised" to our needs.  :icon_thumleft:

Also to forum members who answered questions, provide guidance/advice on issues and sometimes provide a good friendly banter.  It is the contribution of the membership that makes and defines the success of a Forum   :icon_salut:

On that note, I encourage all forum members to participate in the discussions and not hesitate to give their take on things.  Sometimes it's the simple questions/projects/tweaks that no one is asking or sharing that can be valuable and useful to know  ;).

As Danny mentioned, "the forum is nothing without its members. It is the members who have made the forum grow..."

Again, Thank You to Everyone for making our (read: Your) Forum a success!  :cup:
