Just on the topic of air compressors..

I bought a bigger compressor from Outbax Camping (via ebay), as my previous one was a bit undersized.. and was rather disappointed.
The supplied hose was faulty, and it took a LOT of emails and being ignored before they eventually sent out a replacement. The compressor itself doesn't feel that sturdy and was smeared with oil when it arrived.

Thoroughly recommend you avoid that mob. (Also avoid AGR Machinery, Edisons, et al, and I have strong suspicions about MyUtopia as well)

I reckon I would be pretty sus about Tiger11 stuff as well. They aim at the cheaper end of the market and their snatch straps were recalled after a comparison review in this same mag. They were breaking at about half of their rated strength and I saw another comparison review where one of their products was not real good...can't remember what it was about at the moment.
I stick with mainstream known products at the best price I can. I have just ordered another 8k ARB snatch strap for a spare and I will be paying $79. I reckon that is a good price for a top rated product.

Hi all just found a thumper with 10 issues of 4 x 4 mag for $119. Sounds pretty good to me any ideas??
Thanks Steve.

See if it is the review. Cheap is usually cheap for a reason.

That sounds pretty good Steve. Those things go great, especially if it's the one with the nice long hose.

I've been running the thumper in my patrol for about a year so far and pretty good for $119,   no problems so far.   Im also running a 9L air tank with pressure switch, have compressed air fitting front and rear, the system can run a rattle gun too

I've been running a Thumper for eleven months with no issues, paid around the $120 mark for it and received a free Tyre pressure deflator with the purchase.

I got the Thumper but its had very little use so far. The freebie Kwiky tyre deflator didn't fare so well in a comparo recently but it was mainly due to the stem not having a proper circlip on it. So I just popped the wire ring off and replaced it with a proper circlip. Its as good as the others now as the business end that attaches to the valve all seem to be identical

I fitted a ARB compressor under the bonnet near the master cylinder.. Works a treat.
