I was running an auskick training session on Monday night , looking after about 70 kids . I normally only have 14 ! This was a special training session for the kids and the club as we had a couple of the Fremantle dockers join in . The whole junior clubs was there footy fields packed along with the car park.
I reversed the Mux into my usual spot making sure I left enough room so the eager kids don't fling their doors open into my car .
After training and a quick g'day we headed of back to the car it was pretty dark at this stage I noticed the car wasn't parked straight . I said to my daughter I'm sure I was straight . But thought nothing less as we where still excited about the training we just did.
The next morning my heart sank when I went out to move the car before work .
Someone has hit the front of my MuX . Her first wounds ! Undoubtably I wasn't happy neither was the mrs . We both give up a fair bit of time to coach and help out at the club, that someone from the footy club would do this and not even leave a note . !
With an $800 excess I don't know if it worth it ! But the mrs wants it fixed.
I'm trying to convince it's perfect candidate for a bull bar as they will cut out the bottom section anyway !
Not only that the next shitbrick who hit it will come off second best !
Now to work on the mrs . !

Yeh you cant have that fixed, it has to have a bullbat fitted now :laughing7:
On a serious note, it is disappointing that someone has damaged the volunteer coach's car and not said anything. It might pay to have a bit of a look at the cars at the next session as I am sure theirs also has some damage.

My thought exactly Danny. It NEEDS a bullbar!
It's going to be hard to find the culprit as it wasn't a normal session for us as the auskick is normally Sunday mornings and we have a 2 week break , but I'll be decadently having a poke around Monday to see if it was one of the juniors parents , the. Get the mrs to scope out the car park when auskick is back .

I did the same thing so just got a bullbar

Save the $800 excess and slap a $2k-$2.5k bull bar on. You can say that the increase in insurance premiums for a claim will pay the bullbar off (eventually... maybe 50+ years?) LOL
-
Making a claim if this nature wont increase his renewal premium, if it does just shop it!

Or you could go down to a dobinson store and get one like this for $1500 when they have half price fitting . Matt(https://www.ozisuzu.com.au/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20160630%2F86482bdfbe4169a5dbaa53d48d0f4448.jpg&hash=0a8aa5377a4e3c815224aa1016894644ddf7ecd0)

I had a similar problem with my MUX at 3 months old (same damage spot, same colour car :sad10:) but found it was very easy and cheap to fix as the components are all plastic which means no traditional panel beating is required, I used a dent repair mob who came to my house, tidied up the sctaches/small dent and painted it for around $100. If you get the right blokes they can work magic with plastic painted panels these days :cup:
Just an option...cheers.

You got off lightly...our dmax recently had the front bumper torn half off whilst parked. We were very lucky and the culprit left a note and their insurance sorted it (was a tree lopping company that did it...I reckon I'll use them next time I need a tree dealt with because they're obviously honest!). I think the total bill was around $1500 for a new bumper and associated parts. I contemplated a bullbar install, but for me personally it's not a mod I really want. Great time to do it though. The MCC Rocker bar would've been my choice:

But the bar is still what I want . Any money left from our family trip to Bali will go to that

I am so fed up with the anonymous love taps I won't have a car without a bullbar any more.
Is it kinky to want to leave a mark on the other person?
-
Surely if not at fault, the insurance company will waive the excess. I think you would just have to make a report to the local coppers.
Cheers

Was thinking more along the lines of the insurance company wanting to get someone to pay for the excess. They will be wanting someone to blame if not the insured :)
-
Yup Dave only have to report if more than $2500 damage or someone was injured .
Madcap I had a guy deliberately ram my car and run me over , still had to pay the excess regardless of police report . If they never catch them you don't get the excess back . Mind you this was 13 years ago
