Title: Help needed
Post by: ajm on Feb 08, 2023, 09:42:27 PM
Folks, we have a drug house next door. We found out after we moved in and its sh!t. 5 years of sh!t to be precise. Local coppers are not interested in doing anything. Police Major crime squad are only interested when something happens. We are told that building a case takes time and please keep a log of any cars coming and going. Fine, happy to help. Recently, a stolen goods racket was busted and several of the larger items, excavators, were moved through next door prior to the bust. We have tried to get the local concilor and state member on board but, they have other stuff to promote.

Tonight, I pulled the bins in and these d!cks had put their rubbish in our recycling bin. It was full of syringes. I have children who usually bring the bins in and wash them..

I need other ideas. I'm not about to do anything that will put my family at risk so need suggestions about who to contact to apply pressure. Oh, the owner of the property is fully aware of what happens and is no help at all. Police have intimated that he is involved in the drug trade.

Then do nothing, is my advice. Don't even help with reporting crap. Or move. Any action from you usually precipitates reaction from the offenders.

I agree with this. Sadly its not worth it.

I feel for you, I had terrible neighbours once and it was a nightmare.

It's not tomatoes but frozen treats.

Neighbour on the other side has only just moved in. Three primary school aged daughters who aren't as aware yet as our teenagers. The house is known all over town and its the first thing people bring up when they find out which street we live in. "Are you guys near the druggo place"?

Maybe two things you could do is send messages about these people to Centrelink and the tax office.  If they are druggies they could also be welfare cheats or tax dodgers.  You can send these messages online anomalously without identifying yourself.  That might put two other agencies on their backs.

Always have to be careful reporting suspicions about police to other police. Terrible when it's like that.

Council has installed an anti hooning camera at the top of the street. Number plate recognition, vehicle identification, and linked to police. Not a solution, but might slow them down a bit
