Hi all,
In the news lately:
https://gmauthority.com/blog/2021/05/2022-ford-f-150-lightning-debuts-with-bargain-39974-base-price/
https://techcrunch.com/2021/05/19/ford-unveils-the-f-150-lightning-its-all-electric-pickup-truck-that-will-start-under-40000/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9zbGFzaGRvdC5vcmcv&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAA7zbE9_shSyY_DSAsxH3rEl0bjnxjxq1LSb7ceJ78jby8CjlyygZ1GpER7vLFOwpEjADiVZKxcyOyRkhnjSm7BBzhZIJYq44VBB1X8upAwzb7UDgJXzgiEh0BJHo2-DKKVrIG_9nWrOlcCJPEaAjlaHTtObHQSGOrOu-ZfZgRwt
Wait for the Sales Rep tax on it if it gets here :evil6:
Standard battery gives 370Km range
With extended battery about 480Km...
It is not good enough yet for us when we'll travel 8000Kms+ for the next big trip.
And I would never buy one of these 'queen of the desert' looking Fords. ;)
I think battery is coming along nicely but maybe a hybrid diesel if that exists yet.

I don't think electric vehicles are any good for Australia beyond immediate city use. The country is just too large with such a small population, and vehicle battery technology is just not there for what our country requires.
Great for populated countries, not for those that are not so populated.

Yes looks good but definitely city and lower km travel, useless for towing anything decent in Aus especially distance, you wont see these on the Great Central Road or Canning stock route or possibly the Nully highway either, not enough electric outlets unless you pack a bloody good genny and and connectors, still given time who knows what tech will come about

Bet your bottom dollar it wont be 50K here.
