Title: Fortuner Ground Clearance
Post by: rhynoceros on Jan 15, 2016, 08:48:10 AM
So when the specs for the Fortuner were released here i remember thing wow 279mm of ground clearance thats amazing...are they running portal axels or something.

However they've now come out with a correction it is actually 225mm:

http://www.caradvice.com.au/408536/toyota-fortuner-ground-clearance-downgraded-from-279mm-to-225mm/

How does a company stuff that up....it was on the toyota site now there is no mention of its ground clearance in the specs.

Just a misundertanding is all!  ;-)  The press release was for the Fortuner when fitted with optional 37" Simex Centipedes.

It's like Chinese lumens and watts, once you convert it to metric Australian it's always less.

I was looking at buying one before I came to my senses and only remember the 225mm figure.
