Diesel has come along way in the last 10 years , vortex have additives to prevent foaming which 1 makes it easier to fill you tanks and 2 not foul your injectors

Vortex diesel isn't the same as petrol as it doesn't change to centan value ( like Ron 98/91) so it's not going to give you more power just the additive to clean / stop foaming

Unless you live in a high humidity area. Most will be just another con (like Hiclones etc) to grab your money.
New/newish car. CRD modern diesels with additives.
Caltex.BP.Shell etc. Just run car as normal and (myself) I drop a container of injector cleaner in there around every 5 tanks or so.
Most will have some algicides etc built into them as an additive to an additive.
Stanadyne or Red Line top of list but have to import I think?.
I use Nulon.? Who knows.

Well i like in ipswich and we get between 0.4 to 44

BP advertise at the pumps that their fuel will clean your fuel system out in a coupla tanks.
Looks like we wasting lots of money hey.
I'll still stick with my 5000km injection cleaner thank you.

Hi All
I've tried a search without success on fuel additives.
Does anyone add anything to their fuel or a regular or occasional basis and for what reasons?
I have a 2015 MU-X LST that has done only 17000km and saw a product in the latest SCA catalogue called Chemtech Diesel Power and it made me wonder if additives are necessary.
Any thoughts happy to hear

I have used Chemtech in my Dmax since new. There are a number of similar products out there but I have used this for years in a number of vehicles. Bacteria can build up in your fuel tank and this reduces the likelyhood. Has other benifits but hard to measure. In my previous car I did notice a better fuel economy. Cheers!
