I had a few stickers left on some parts from the plant in Thailand where the car or possibly the seats were assembled, curious name I thought. Not that us Aussies can talk, with towns called 'Bong Bong' and 'Yorkey's Knob' (the list goes on) We are equally as amusing  :laughing7:

Hi Naomi,

We baby boomers can remember a whole lot of great stuff that's for sure. The start of television was pretty amazing and of course everything involved with Nasa and the Apollo missions was also really exciting and there sure was some great music also.

Not a joke but made me smile, 4x4 Australia are doing an aftermarket parts story and their stock Isuzu have been handling the conditions rather well in comparison:

"4x4 Australia has been running around Moreton Island for the past few days in a couple of Isuzu UTE Australia vehicles that have conquered the dunes better than some of the better equipped vehicles"

Kiwi Land

Brian had been in the hotel business in Sydney for 25 years.
Finally sick of the stress, he quits his job and buys 50 acres of land in the hills in New Zealand as far from humanity as possible.

He sees the postman once a week and gets groceries once a month. Otherwise it's total peace and quiet..

After six months or so of almost total isolation, someone knocks on his door. He opens it and a huge, bearded man is standing there.

'Name's Cliff, your neighbour from forty miles up the road. Having a Christmas party Friday night. Thought you might like to come at about 5:00...

'Great', says Tom, 'after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local folks, Thank you!'

As Cliff is leaving, he stops. 'Gotta warn you. Be some drinking'.'

'Not a problem' says Tom. 'After 25 years in the business, I can drink with the best of 'em'.

Again, the big man starts to leave and stops.

'More 'n' likely gonna be some fighting' too.'

'Well, I get along with people, I'll be all right! .. I'll be there. Thanks again.'

'More'n likely be some wild sex, too,'

'Now that's really not a problem' says Tom, warming to the idea. 'I've been all alone for six months! I'll definitely be there..

By the way, what should I wear?'
'Don't much matter. Just gonna be the two of us!

I went into a Toyota dealership which happened to also be the ARB stocker. After asking him how the Fortuna sales were going he said he thought the Isuzus had a better engine... Then looked around sheepishly to see if his colleagues had heard him... That was my smile today :)

A bra and a set of jumper cables walk into a bar. The three of them walk up to the bar keeper and ask for three beers.

The bar keeper looks them up and down suspiciously before replying "No, sorry, i cant get you any drinks and you'll have to leave the bar immediately".

Shocked, the bra asks the bar keeper why they have to leave.

He replies

"Well, you're off your tits, and those two are running around trying to start something"

It was raining and cold, saw a rainbow and thought GOLD.
I drove real fast, get there first I was told.

Disappointment was had, it looked real bad.
The sight that I saw would make anyone sad.

There sat Bill Shorten with a badge on, you guessed,
It was like a Rainbow and in big letters it said YES.

The silly goat is only after the votes,
His crew have caused problems with plenty of boats.

I went to the far end to see my gold stash,
Found different people some smoking the hash.

Once again disappointment reigned supreme,
Rainbow hijackers had stolen the dream.

DMaximus,

This is very helpful photography, in the absence of workshop manuals. Do you have any other photos of this powertrain assembly from other angles?

Thanks

Hey Dmax449,

Sorry mate, but only took the one picture.

I'll probably be back there next week though as I'm looking at picking up the ladder rack kit. If I do I'll be sure to take a few more pics.

As 449 asked for more photos, if back at the dealers, take a few pics of the gearbox through the cutouts/sectioned areas please. It shows the 5th gear unit before the gearbox unlike other makes of vehicles have. Be good to see the setup of the internals of both the box itself and the overdrive 5th unit.

It will provide a view of what manual owners gear trains are like inside.

Thanks
