Title: Posting Images/Photos in OzIsuzu Forums
Post by: BinaryMan on Nov 28, 2017, 10:45:10 PM
OzIsuzu Forum allows posting of inline images. These are images that are embedded in the poster's message.  Images can be hosted somewhere on the internet (free hosting) OR uploaded to the OzIsuzu Forum server.

Free Image Hosting sites
If you are using free image hosting sites to host your images, it must be in a web-viewable format (eg. .jpeg, .gif, .png, etc).  It can also be done within the Forum via "Add image to post" option (uploads to imgbb) below the text box when posting.  Be aware that image hosting sites can change the terms and conditions which can cause inline images in posts to "disappear".  Just recently, our Forum "lost" valuable images/photos in technical/instructional posts due to this.

OzIsuzu Forum server uploads
Photos and images can be uploaded to the Forum server via the "Attachments and other options" below the text box when posting.  We ask for your cooperation in keeping image/photo file sizes manageable.

When uploading images to our Forum server, ideally, we recommend converting/resizing images as below:

Privacy Reminder
Please consider your privacy when posting images/photos in any public forum or social media.  You might want to erase/block your rego plates or any identifying mark using an image editing program (e.g brush and shapes tools in Paint to cover or erase, etc).
OR
if you think that you may be posting a photo in social media/forum, a strategically placed object/person to cover the rego plate will save you post image editing (e.g. towel, fishing bag, etc).  ;)

Title: Convert/Resize Images/Photos using MS Paint
Post by: BinaryMan on Nov 28, 2017, 10:50:00 PM

Here's a quick and easy way to convert and resize images/photos using Paint that comes with Windows.  :)

Converting and Resizing images/photos
There are a lot of image manipulation programs freely available.  A basic and easy to use image editing program is Paint which comes pre-installed with most Windows PC.

Using the Attachments and other options
Please be aware that there is a maximum of 5 attachments per post with a maximum total size of 4000KB (or 4MB) of image/s.

e.g.     4x of 1000KB per image, 1x 4000KB image, etc.

The image displayed with the post (like the one below) is actually a thumbnail albeit a big one :icon_thumleft:.

Click on the thumbnail to see the full size uploaded image/photo.
