So sad to hear of Hughes' passing.
Condolences to his family, hoping Sean Abbott gets plenty of support through this...

Very sad. I really feel for everyone involved, especially his parents, it's not something they would have ever considered.
My eldest is that age :(

Very sad. Far to young. Feel for his family. Feel for Sean Abbott also.
After 23 rounds it was clear that the dish didn't run away with the spoon!!

Today I felt very sad for this young man and his family, God bless his soul, I am a Christian. But some one said that a plaque should be put up a long side of Frank Partridge VC in Macksville. I will get bashed here but when is this thing about sports people being put up as hero's going to end.
Please give me heaps I can take it, my father serviced in Bougainville (would have known Frank) my brother serviced in Vietnam and I did 9 years in the Army. There is stuff out there on social media about our VC winners from the Middle East not getting this sort of media.
If you do not like what I say here then so be it.
Cheers Bruce

DMX I cannot help but agree.

As a mere plane fixing RAAFie I am in awe of those who go outside the wire day after day. Phil Hughes was a top bloke and a freakish talent but I think a plaque alongside a VC recipient I think is a bit rich.

So far stock except for a tow bar & towpro, but plans are afoot!
