Mazda CX5
VALKIE:
What turned me off Mazda was that bloody engine stopping every time I pulled up at lights.
Turned me off faster than finding an Addams apple on a new girlfriend.

I've worked out the stop/start thingy.
If you just press the brake pedal gently, it does not stop the car. You have to push down quite firmly (when stopped) to switch off the engine. Its not an issue at all.
There is also a button to turn it off, but its not necessary.
VALKIE:
I considered buying a CX9.
But the stop start thing was a deal breaker.
I asked if they could turn off the feature and they said no.
Apparently, it would void the warranty and is illegal as its a fuel saving function.
From what I have read, it can save an Australian driver 2 or 3 liters of fuel a year.

Off topic, what oil should i use on my wifes CX5 - great car by the way!
thinking of castrol edge 10W-30. I'm a bit sceptical of thin oils (they only save a drop of fuel, but reduce motor life), just look at the new landcruiser 300 running 0-20W oil, the motors are burning rings at 20,000km!!!
maybe go 10W-40?
