What is this?
« on: Apr 03, 2022, 04:59:28 PM »
Hi all,

Hoping someone can help! (yes, i know this is a car forum, but there are some smart cookies out there).

I need another cover like the photo (this cover goes over the electrical supply to the house), to cover the NBN box (we couldn't fit the normal square grey one, so ran the fiber all the way to the internal box). Does anyone know what you call it so i can order another one.

thanks !

Looks like a piece of down pipe with an end cap. But electrical ducting is the thing you would normally chase. Air con duct is also good to use for external covering.

It looks a bit like the cable trays/channelling they run through suspended ceilings to carry power and data cables.

Commonly call a piece of top hat because of it shape when you view it from the end.

These are normally made to measure by a sheet metal worker.

I liked the unprotected black pipe going into the wall next to your black box!

Try an electrical trade shop.  Googled ‘ metal cable cover flat mount’ and found what looks like the photo.
