Hasn't in higher end cars. The wifes X5 and prior versions have all been subsciption models to increase software and features access.

What BS. who needs remote start anyway. Another reason not to buy Toyota!

This has been going on for years but in a slightly different way.
My 2014 LST D-Max has a GPS in the Clarion head unit. I got one free update which I used in 2015 but still the maps were a year old. :BangHead:
Now I just use my phone or tablet. :dontknow:
