Good luck. It's nuts just getting into the shops, let alone finding any dunny paper or food left on the shelves.

I wonder why I like being on my own out bush?

Thanks for your thoughts yvesjv  :occasion14:

Race in asking very loudly for tinned Asparagus.
See if you can start a shortage of that.
I’d love to see that on the news!!!!!
But seriously, all the best to our western cousins.
Don’t worry about things you can’t change!

Children where supposed to return to school tomorrow after the long Christmas holiday break.  However that has been cancelled.  The family next door have two small children and we could hear the crying, wailing, shrieking and temper tantrums over the fence.  I never expected parents to act like that!  The local liquor store sold all it’s stock in one afternoon.  I've nailed a sign on our front lawn "Toilet Paper - $10 per roll"

I suppose I'd better stock up as well just in case we have another lockdown here.  :crybaby2:  :occasion14:

Being a Victorian, I know that covid lockdowns definitely give us the sh**s, but apparently the actual virus doesn't cause diarrhoea. In our small town 300 km from Melbourne, we laughed our heads off about city people cleaning out supermarket shelves of toilet paper. Then these same people organised bus trips to country Vic to raid our shops for toilet paper, and we stopped laughing...

All the best to the Sandgropers; you have our commiserations. But just remember it's only for a few days (so far...); we were locked down for many months.

Is this a wonderful excuse to load the Dmax up with dunny rolls and head to our favourite part of Australia??

Hope it ends soon for you!
Cheers, Jack

Jack,
You could advertise "Free Toilet Paper roll" for anyone spending a whole moonless night at the Yurunga Homestead in Rainbow VIC!

The rest of the world laughed at us hoarding our dunny paper.

But it worked

We have the least covid of any country, all because of our dunny paper hoarding.

We know the truth.............dunny paper is the cure.

......and if you believe that, I have a bridge for sale.

yvesjv, we've visited that old homestead. Anyone staying overnight would probably use up more than one free dunny roll   :laughing7:

VALKIE, interesting theory, but the people who raided our local shop were from Melbourne, which was the "Covid Central" of Australia for a long time, so that might disprove the theory.

Interestingly, once Chairman Dan opened up country Vic but kept Melbourne in lockdown enforced by his 'Ring of Steel', we were able to buy some dunny paper again, but a lot of the local supplies still vanished...
'Ring of Steel'???? ha ha more like a Ring of String... or Ring of Dunny Paper!
