Been a member for a few months now, wanted to post a pic of vehicle, but seem to only be able to do that in 4 x 3 format. I notice some wide shots in posts, but can't find info on how to do that, nor how to to remove the crook photo attachment from the post/preview. Any help appreciated.

Hi The simplest way is to reply or make a new post.....go to 'attachments and other options'..........choose file.......and bingo it will go into your post regardless of the ratio

Used the "Add image to post" link as below, but all the preview showed me was the centre of my car, from about windscreen to rear axle. Seen a few more like that in the forum too. Couldn't find a way to remove that image from the post, so didn't try the other link, just logged out and shut down to remove the unsaved post. Will try the second link now.

Okay, tried the "Attachments and other options" link, and no photo showed up in preview, even though the attachment was in the attachment list.

Yeh attachments won’t show in the preview.
Only show when you post.

Something SMF should be able to fix easily, but you need to be a client to suggest it to them.
Will try the attachment method and see what turns up in the post.
