After sales upsell

Hi All,

I signed up for a black LSU with darkest legal tint, tow bar and the Android media centre.  They are pushing the typical after sales pitch for the electronic rust proof, paint and interior protection - $1900.00. I know there is a large up-mark on this pitch for these products, any of you get this done by the dealer or take it to a car detailer yourself..or didn't bother at all ?

I will just use a good quality wax on the paint regularly and keep the inside clean ( a necessity with 2 year old twins!)

I just paid 3k for the paint leather protection on the LST , however they did sell it as life time protection and if the leather stains rips/ tears they would reupholster . I was in a hurry when going through it as we had to pick up the kids , probably could have got it down a bit more.  I wasnt offered any other accessory , I already negotiated tint and tow pack as part of the drive away price

Yup, agree 100%. This is one of the good things about dealing with Major Motors - they don't try to up sell you any of the snake oil products. I even had to ask to get them to include window tinting.

$3,000 would well and truly cover to have your car details for about 10 years.
