Still as slow as a wet week for me, including the dreaded timeout of response from server. :sad10: It is variable though. Sometimes the new page appears with little delay. :BangHead:

For some reason I have had to switch my Firewall OFF to be able to access this site over the last months.

Looking good this morning but on checking the routing to the shared server, once the packet reaches Singapoure, I can see more hops than before.
These guys like messing with their routing for whatever reason.

More problems yesterday and today , very slow loading pages , including the home page.
I have just upgraded to 22 odd mbps from 12. so that shouldn't be the problem.
seems the issue comes and goes over some time frame :BangHead:
See how it is in a few days.

Not trying to be mean here but imho upgrading from Xmpbs to Ymbps doesn't mean it should improve the connection to a server that's beyond our control within an overseas network infrastructure.
And if it is over the NBN, just hope your ISP has purchased enough bandwidth for your internet pipe for it is shared with everyone who has signed up with your ISP within your whole region.

I have a suspicion they have web caching frontend(s) that could be fast delivering the web caches depending on which ISP IP range the request is coming from. To prove/disprove that theory is another story...

I had my first time out this morning.

A refresh saw the the page load properly so its obviously a bit hit and miss.

What I still need confirmed is who dictates all the hops from our houses to the hosts servers?

Is it our ISP's or is it the host? The issue starts at the very first hops in 90% of tests.

So I couldnt get my reply above to work...timed out.

Couldnt refresh the page, just timed out.

I disconnected my computer from our home wifi (telstra wireless NBN) and hot spotted my phone (telstra 4g) and bang it worked perfect.

So as an experiment I went back to home wifi......time out.........back to 4g.....perfect.........back to home wifi.....time out.......you get the picture.

Yet other websites loaded ok on the home wifi network, but ours wouldnt.

So I can only speak from my end but clearly the server is working fine, and my ISP is the issue in this instance.
I would almost certainly blame the fact that so many people are at home.

Ill ring telstra when i get time, but I am not looking forward to it  :p

Just checked it again on the NBN and no load, just timing out.

Fine on 4g.

I have to start work now so I cant mess around with my NBN box or modem but clearly there is something wrong straight from my local NBN tower at the moment.

Odd that every other website I visit is loading ok on NBN. Although I did notice yesterday that one my regulars timed out a couple of times.

BGP routing from service providers connection to the Internet.
