"CHaT CaN" OzIsuzu 2018
« on: Feb 24, 2018, 05:14:06 PM »
Hello everyone and to all the proud owners of Isuzu's that joined recently... a warm welcome!

2017 has seen a steady growth in membership and this year we look forward to more membership engagement in terms of sharing "Isuzu" tips, tweaks and knowledge.  I tell you, we are a "funny mob" if you read the reviews and comparison of utes.  For some reason we still went for the "plain vanilla" one from the lot... Lol.

Anyway, we thought we need a dialogue about OzIsuzu Forums in general to tie up loose ends and keep everybody informed of Forum current affairs.

OzIsuzu Forum Code of Conduct   :happy11:
Last year, 2017, saw the introduction of the Ozisuzu Forum Code of Conduct.  Written communication, unfortunately, does not convey unspoken cues which makes it is easy to interpret things out of context.  We like to keep the general feel of the OzIsuzu Forum inclusive, courteous and respectful of each other.  We thank everyone for their compliance and cooperation on this matter.

Say Thanks   :icon_thumleft:
2017 also saw the re-introduction of the Say Thanks following a poll mid year.  It is a good way of acknowledging authors who share their experienced knowledge as well as helpful tips and tricks.  It does take considerable time and effort in writing an instructional post complete with images/photos.  So if you come across a good technical/instructional post and you learned something along the way, click to Say Thanks .  Not only will you be encouraging the author but also giving feedback that his effort is useful and appreciated.

Posting Images/Photos in OzIsuzu Forums
A certain popular free image hosting site's sudden change of policy last year caused considerable images to be "lost" from posts.  "A picture is worth a thousand words" and certainly is the case when you're trying to follow a technical post.

We reviewed the Forum's hosting storage and decided that we have enough space to host images/photos.  So we now encourage images/photos to be uploaded to the OzIsuzu Forum's server.  We do however ask for your cooperation in the format (jpg) and resolution (1024 pixel width) of the images you upload.

OzISUZU Forums Merchandise
Please be aware that OzIsuzu Forum is a privately run forum with no commercial sponsorship or affiliation.  It has been suggested in the past to open up a donation link but it was decided (at the time) that it was not the preferred direction.

The OzIsuzu Forums Merchandise came into being to assist (if not fully cover) the running costs of the Forum.  We rather you get something in return (e.g. drink holder) than a plain donation.  If you don't have one yet, please consider getting a merchandise or two.  We do appreciate and ask for YOUR SUPPORT in this area.

Well here we are, well into 2018 and past 4,000 memberships (and hopefully an AT35 oz version.  ;D )

Again we thank you for your cooperation, participation, engagement and support.

Cheers!  -/oj
