Trailblaza are huge though. Probably not meant for back of vehicles. mine was in my old boat.

20ltr to 200 ltrs in available sizes before you go custom made....Yeah agreed  :icon_thumleft: they are larger than most in physical size beacause of the thickness of the insulation. The better the insulation the less the motor runs the less battery you use.

So should I remove mine from the car  :tongue1:  :tongue1:  :tongue1:

Cheers

National Luna are great fridges but a hefty price. I guess you pay for what you get. My mate has a couple of trailblaza's and they are built like a brick outhouse. In my opinion not the best looking but hey they perform well.

Anyone using the Kings 60ltr fridge? Thinking of getting one or a waeco cf50 which is the same price with the anaconda price beat by 10% as tentworld has it for $699. kings 1 year warranty waeco is 3 years. same compressor and kings looks pretty much the same as a waeco

Visit Aussiebatteries.com.au for a fridge.
I'll probably never have to replace the engel, but if I did, I would seriously consider one of theirs.

Recently bought a waeco CF50 with a cover from Anaconda for $699. Went up to the Finke desert race. More that happy with the purchase. I have 5 brothers and they use a combination of Waeco and Engel. None have reported problems.

I have two Engels (both 40 ltr) -ones old steel hull and one is plastic. Both are great but... have trouble when warm drinks are added trying to get them cold when outside temps are 40.

I also have a 85 ltr Evacool and that sits on the tray in the sun. When outside temps are 40 it doesn't falter. Being built like a fiberglass esky helps.

Horses for courses. Depends what you need it for - weekends, 2 week trip or whatever. Did a Kimberley trip in May/June with my brother who had one each of ARB and Engel. As the ARB unit would stop when voltage reduced it was useless as a freezer. So Engel was freezer and ARB was fridge. As I had a 85ltr unit, mined worked great as a combined fridge/freezer. And any warm drinks went into my Evacool to get cold!

Does anybody have any experience with, or opinions on, the Dometic CFF45 fridge/freezer?

Anaconda have them on sale for $599 at the moment, and BCF are selling them for $699 with a cover.

Any opinions welcome.

I have a CF 31 about 8 years old. Had to replace a Thermister and several fuses in the last 2 years. Cost about $250 to fix. Get some spare fuses from an electronics store. Much cheaper for non genuine ones.
I have a 60 litre Engel that’s had $60 of electrical work done in probably 15 years.
Not a big fan of my Waeco fridge.
Don’t worry about things you can’t change!

Aldi have a 50l Roman on sale this Saturday for $499. Looks like a copy of a Waeco.
