What Fridge to get?

(1/16) > >>

Stevo51:
Hi guys looking to buy a fridge for back of DMax seeing what to get and why will probably get a portably panel for charging

Wal:
I have both an Engel and a Waeco CFX. Preference would be the Waeco CFX mostly due to the cost difference. Both good units. Best to go with good name brands and like most things you pay for what you get. Cheers.

Same here, 40L Engel as a freezer and 32L Waeco as the beer fridge.

If you are going to be lifting it in and out I find the 40L about as heavy as I would like to lift - probably equates to 40+kg.

Mine sit inside the drawers and when touring stay in the back full time. At home they both live in my study and are used 24/7.

Had a cheap fridge that I picked up from Supercheap, it failed and the fridge repairer I took it to would not touch it.

I have a 40 litre Waeco fridge that is now 12 years old.  It only gets turned off when carrying it from house to car and vv.  It has been to all 8 states and territories more than once and is still going strong without missing a beat.  The handles at each end make it easy to carry and the weight is OK.  So I am happy.  But I am sure other well known brands are reliable.
