Melbourne - Citylink or Eastlink account?
« on: Dec 19, 2014, 08:58:02 PM »
For those living in Melbourne, which eTag toll company do you recommend opening an account with, Citylink or Eastlink? It would be for occasional use, mostly on weekends.

Cheers

Depends if you plan on using eastlink. The eastlink passes cover both but citylink only covers citylink.

Yeah I'd reckon that's the way to go. I should try and find out what our work cars are for you (I think they are Breeze accounts) because they cover all tollways I have driven on in Sydney and Brisbane also.

Our CityLink eTags (4 of 'em) work everywhere.

Thanks, I ended up going with Eastlink in the end.

My Dmax is classed as light commercial vehicle. I'm looking at buying a MUX. Can  anyone advise if the MUX is classed as a car or light commercial vehicle by CityLink.
Thanks.

I drove busses for a while after my last job and the Citylink ones they use, work in Melbourne and Sydney and Brisbane tollways ASFAIK. They beeped in all places so all the gantry interrogaters read them.

Thanks, I use the Tulla a lot and would much prefer to pay car  rather than LCV tolls.

Citylink!
Eastlink's website and customer service are utterly useless.

I live in Canberra but I bought a Brisbane Etag as I was told they were the cheapest,
Not sure if that was correct or not

I have used it in Melb and Sydney without any probs
