Which vehicle insurance companies are you using for your vehicles? Any you can recommend?

Any which I should avoid?  :laughing7:

I use QBE

The only real things you need to look for is that some with exclude cover for things like.

An accident that occurs below high water mark

Offshore to what limit i.e are you covered on the Fraser island barge

Motorsport activities this then puts you into a gray area for say landcruiser mountain park especially if you pay for entry

For what it's worth, the current issue of a certain 4WD magazine (issue No.233) has a good article on 4WD insurance comparo.  hint: Roothy used to be there   ;)

Cheers!

Ive been with YOUI for several years now......ive had no issues with them so far.

Here is what they say regarding offered driving:

Driving Off Road - Am I covered to drive off road or on the beach?
If your car (typically a four wheel drive vehicle) was designed to drive off-road or on the beach, it will be covered.  However, you have to ensure that you drive the car only in a manner and under conditions that are within the manufacturer's recommended guidelines, and that you take reasonable care to prevent loss or damage.

I would imagine most insurers are the same.....generally they won't cover you for driving conditions the vehicle wasn't designed for.....being a 4wd vehicle i would say they'd be hard to deny a claim as it is built for 4wd driving.

Hello all,
I'm due to pick my new Mu-x up this week and have been looking around for insurance. Have any of you insured with or had any dealings with Club4x4 insurance?

Its called "Maritime Liability" basically where items are thrown over board (your precious modded up MUX or D-Max :crybaby2:) to save the vessel and the other items on board so then the vessels owner and the people who own items which were not thrown overboard all chip in and the losses are shared equally to compensate those who's items are sitting at the bottom of the ocean!

Never heard of High water mark before?

Basically stick with reputable insurers not Youi (sorry) I cant help myself. Most will have a time trial exclusion or the "like" where if you are racing the vehicles and they can prove it then you might be in trouble. Make sure all your accessories/mods are listed and individually valued so you know what you getting.
