Do motor scooters count?  My wife and I, being latte drinking yuppies, ride Vespas.  After all what would you expect living in Sydney's eastern suburbs.  We have an image to maintain.  I have a Vespa GT200 and my wife rides a Vespa 300.  Both automatics.  We ride our scooters most days though my wife does a lot more k's on hers than I do and she's happy to ride in the rain.  Me, I'm a fair weather rider thank you.  We got the Vespas mainly to ride to the beach, shopping etc.  A whole lot easier than driving a motor vehicle around Sydney's eastern suburbs.  And besides you have to pay to park the car at most locations around the beaches whereas there are ample free motor cycle parking areas.  My wife only got her motor cycle license at 60.  She's now 65 and I can't get her off her scooter.
