Theres a reason they dont use ally on exhausts, one being its melting point is 650 C.
Woukdnt be happy if they did it to my car.

That was an intake manifold.  Are they designed to withstand that amount of heat?

That was my thought, high temperature for the casting, possible warping etc.

I think I'd be going to a local grit Blasters and asking him to give it a run through the acid tank.
That shifts most things.
The ally "should be" ok.
