2 wheel temporary Australians
« on: Sep 13, 2015, 05:51:34 PM »
With the great couple of days here over the weekend I took the opportunity to get the Honda out of the shed and go for a ride. OK it was only about 35km, but its a start! So who else has a motorbike and what do you have?

I have a Honda 94mdl CBR1000. I would be lucky to do 200km a year on it, love to go for a ride.
After 23 rounds it was clear that the dish didn't run away with the spoon!!

Honda ST1300 for last few years, ST1100 before that......

Bike not used as a daily rider, used for Touring and LD riding.

Latest acquisition to the bike is an Elite camper.....a little more cumbersome when touring and doesn't go often, but saves heaps on accommodation when we do take it   :cup:

Suzuki V-Strom DL1000A here - set up with top-box, panniers, etc. Usually go touring a couple of times a year, and pretty regular day trips just zooming around the countryside :)

The bike tends to get used a lot over the warmer months, the 4WD more over the cooler months.

Triumph Street Triple R.  Arrow high mount pipes, quickshifter, ASV levers.  Just struggle to find the time to ride at the moment.

Haven't had a road bike since around '63.
Raced dirt.
Dot. Frannie B' s and Greeves for a lot of yrs.
last racer was Maco 400. Beautuful dirt bike.
'79 model.  Last of the twin rear shocks.

last two bikes on road. Work and touring were Suzi Dakars 650
Been round Aust on both.

Back in '94 (and I was 49)  tin can got me at lights (he jumped them) Woke up a coupla days later.
Never stepped on a bike since.
that bloody hurt.
Only got one lung now. caved in chest and broken neck. 22 yrs now
and still suffering.

Patches and pills make me go funny occasionally.
Ignore me when I do  OK.
