Caravan locks
« on: Apr 16, 2017, 01:04:21 PM »
I have an Avan Ray Mark II, its an absolutely great place to call home for a while, everything is just almost perfect.

Except for the locks, they really annoy me.  They break for no reason, the design is rubbish.

Do you have suggestion for the front boot locks please.

Also, the pull  out slide  door at the back locks are a type with a handle that twists, pushes in and then locked with a key button.  These locks are virtually keeping the back from taking off.  And, they break.

I'm looking for a solution for  the back locks too.

The caravan and camping show is on soon so I will go take a look.

Thanks, Naomi.

Hi Nomes
Its a bit hard to give any ideas without details and images. Unfortunately many manufactures produce to a cost not quality.
Also some doors etc are moulded and have recessed locks in them, and hence limit your options. Good idea to look at the van shows for options.

Thanks Glen.

Yep you are right, pics would have been better.

I thought the boot locks were fairly standard, was looking for a better option for those two silly little locks.

I will check the caravan and camping show next week.

Cheers.
